Chapter Philanthropy

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

In the fall of 2022, Kappa Kappa Gamma has philanthropy week. The week starts with "Kappa Karnival" hosted by Kappa. The Kappa Kappa Gamma house was filled with Carnival games, cake walks, and sweet treats for all to enjoy. The week ended with our annual Kappa Klassic, a dodgeball tournament. The tournament hosts multiple teams from each of the sororities and fraternities, and other campus organizations. Kappas serve as coaches for each of the teams so that everyone has a contact within the house and knows the rules of the game. All proceeds benefit the National Eating Disorder Association and Mental Health America.

Each spring, we host a philanthropy week with a "Kappa Kappaccino" a dinner to start off the week. During this dinner, Kappas serve desserts and coffee to attendees. This dinner is hosted at the Kappa Kappa Gamma house. Members of Kappa Kappa Gamma help decorate the house to look like a coffee shop with lights, music, and more. Members of our TU community, alum, and Tulsa locals, all get a taste of a coffee shop inspired house. In the spring of 2023, Kappa Kappa Gamma hosted yoga taught by our key, Maci Montgomery, to fully embody mental health and wellbeing. All proceeds benefit National Eating Disorder Association and Mental Health America.
