Chapter History

You have to know where you’ve been to know where you are going. Kappa holds a special place in its heart for Fraternity history, but every chapter of our organization has unique beginnings of its own. Each plays a part in shaping us today. Read more about our chapters’ histories in Kappa's digital archives.

The Delta Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Tulsa was founded on October 31, 1946. Its diverse members are from all over the country and are represented on Student Association, Panhellenic, University Ambassadors, honor societies and other campus organizations. Members major in every college and have a variety of backgrounds and interests.

Kappa Kappa Gamma's values are leadership, scholarship, and friendship. Delta Pi embodies those values through our involvement on campus, our dedication to academic excellence, and our close ties to one another. There is a quote that sums up perfectly what every Kappa stands to gain from her college days and henceforth, "Kappa is, I suppose, a kind of evolution... In the end, Kappa could only be a better way to stumble up the back steps and walk proudly out the front doors."
